Hello! My name is Kaitlin, and I'm a scenic designer based in Florida with a passion for visual storytelling. I’m fascinated by the way environments can go beyond simply setting the scene—they can become active participants in shaping the narrative. I see the set not just as a backdrop, but as a character in its own right, capable of influencing how the audience experiences the emotions, themes, and messages of a story.

My design process is rooted in collaboration, research, and a thoughtful balance between creative vision and practical constraints.

Every project provides a new opportunity to be a visual storyteller and create a space that not only supports the actors and story, but also represents the diversity of experiences that make up our world. I strive to create environments that invite the audience into these worlds, where they can gain a deeper understanding and connection to the stories being told.
Kaitlin Hannah is currently a third-year MFA candidate in Scenic Design at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL), where she has had the opportunity to design for several productions, including The Importance of Being Earnest, Agbedidi (2022), The Prom, and The Pliant Girls.
